The Okolona Area Chamber of Commerce/Main Streetcelebrated Tommy Bowens for being the "Oldest Veteran" in the 2025 Veteran's Day Parade held in Okolona, Mississippi on November 11, 2025. His lovely wife, Tina, picked up his certificate and donation on his behalf.
The monetary donation was sponsored by Robert Maharrey and the Chickasaw Development Foundation. Tina stated that Mr. Bowens wants to donate the funds to their Church, CORR, to assist with their giving to the Okolona Food Pantry.
