This past Monday, December 22, 2025, the Okolona Area Chamber of Commerce/Main Street was honored to welcome a truly special visitor—Mrs. Ida Bowens-Babbitt-Brand! Mrs. Brand, a beloved former teacher and retired educator from both Okolona and Shannon Schools, stopped by Main Street to give back to our community in her own unique way—by contributing through her taxes. Her dedication to education and her continued support for Okolona is an inspiration to us all.
