Okolona Celebrates Grand Opening of Doss Fitness Center
The Okolona Area Chamber of Commerce/Main Street proudly welcomed Doss Fitness Center to the Okolona community with a spirited ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The event, held at the new fitness center’s location at 207 E Monroe Ave, Okolona, MS 38860, marked an exciting addition to the town’s business landscape and a new opportunity for residents to focus on health and wellness.
Community Leaders Show Their Support
The ceremony was attended by an impressive roster of community leaders and local officials, underscoring the importance of Doss Fitness Center’s arrival in Okolona. In attendance were Fire Chief Marquon Evans, Councilman Jarvis Brumby, Councilman Gene Barton, Councilwoman Angela Gardner, Councilwoman Marsha Gates, Mayor Sherman Carouthers, and Representative Rickey Thompson. Their presence signaled unified support for small business growth in the community.
Chamber Treasurer Annie Gates, Chamber Director Rachel Hearn, Chamber Board Member Betty Owens, and Chamber President Margia Marley joined the celebration, along with Renasant Okolona Bank Manager Ty Leal and Officer Reginald Adams. The owner, Tim Doss, received a warm welcome from all, and thanks were extended to every attendee who made the event memorable.
