A Joyful March of Success on Main Street
On Friday, May 30, 2025, the heart of Okolona was alive with pride and excitement as students, educators, families, and community leaders gathered for the much-anticipated A+ Parade of Excellence. Hosted by the Okolona Municipal Separate School District, this vibrant event honored the district’s outstanding achievements during the 2023-2024 academic year and celebrated the continued success throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
Parade Details and Festivities
The celebration began at 404 Dr Howard Gunn Street, Okolona, MS 38860. At 5:30 PM, the parade commenced, with a lively procession down Main Street, Okolona. The air was filled with music, laughter, and the cheers of proud parents and community members as students showcased their accomplishments with banners, floats, and performances.
Local organizations, school clubs, and athletic teams joined in, adding to the festive atmosphere. Marching bands provided a spirited soundtrack, while honored students waved to the crowds, embodying the pride and promise of Okolona’s youth.
